AUNG SAN SUI KYI Burma   Aung San Sui Kyi was born in Rangoon, Burma on the 19th of June 1945.   She grew up very inspired by her father and decided to follow in his footsteps by standing up for her countries independence. She was put in house arrest for 8 years because the Military believed she was becoming too much of a hero. She still leads the National League for Democracy, and continues to fight for her countries freedom.   "I am no more free than anybody else in this country on the other hand l"ve always regarded myself as a perfectly free human being. Because l"ve always believed that it is I who makes my choices, noboby can force me to choose anything..." - Aung San Sui Kyi.   "It is not the power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourage of power corrupts those who are subject to it." - Aung San Sui Kyi.   Aung San Sui Kyi was a very powerful inspiration to us.
